A New Era for Diablo II: Median XL Shared Stash Download
Since the announcement of a shared stash online, fans of Diablo II have been left wondering about its implications on offline play. The shared stash page in Sigma is particularly significant, as it's larger than what we're used to seeing in other versions of the game. In fact, even the normal stash might be limited to a certain number of pages when playing solo.
In response to this development, Median XL has decided against re-implementing shared stash in single-player mode. This decision is likely due to concerns about cheating and twinking, which were prevalent issues with previous implementations of shared stashes. However, the feature will be implemented on the Realm, allowing players to share access with specific users.
Another exciting development is the potential for a multi-page stash, thanks to the release of PlugY's source code. This could lead to further customization options for players, including the possibility of having multiple pages work on the Realm as well (although there may be limitations due to server capacity).
It's worth noting that some features from PlugY are already built-in to Sigma, such as ilvl display, expanded stat screens, and the ability to pick up multiple charms in the cube or stash. However, not all hacks and plugins will be compatible with Median XL's rewritten GUI code.
With D2MultiRes and other plugins no longer functioning due to these changes, fans of Diablo II are eagerly awaiting what's next for the game. Will we see more innovative features like shared stashes and multi-page stashes? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain - the world of Diablo II just got a whole lot more interesting!
